Allegheny Commons monument conservation
Allegheny Commons · Statue / monument cleaning & conservation
The Impact
Restore a piece of the Northside's history — a landmark cared for, not forgotten. A proper assessment comes first, since bronze conservation done wrong can do more damage than the weather already has. Allegheny Commons has several monuments like this one; funding this one sets a model for tackling the rest over time.
Scope
Assess, clean, repatinate, and wax an outdoor bronze monument in Allegheny Commons, plus minor repair.
