California Ave, Brighton Heights · Street-tree / streetscape greening

The Impact

Shade and green for a Brighton Heights corridor — one block, fully funded. Twelve trees, each with a guard against street traffic, go into a stretch of California Avenue that's had nothing but pavement for years. By the time they've filled out, this corridor reads as a tree-lined avenue instead of a through-street.

Scope

Plant ~12 installed street trees with guards along a bare California Avenue stretch.
