Illustrative artwork created for this project.
Illustrative prototype content. This is not an official capital plan and isn't City-endorsed or vetted with neighborhoods. Dollar figures are estimates, not bids. Ward-to-neighborhood associations are approximate — verify against City GIS before real use. Project pitches are draft copy pending real photos and details.
Mellon Park court resurfacing
Mellon Park courts · Sport-court resurfacing
The Impact
Give the neighborhood its courts back — smooth, safe, ready to play. Mellon Park's courts serve both Shadyside and Squirrel Hill North, so resurfacing both at once covers more daily users per dollar than a single-court fix would. New coating on courts this well-used means less annual patchwork and more actual play.
Scope
Resurface and restripe the Mellon Park courts — crack repair and new acrylic coating.
