Proposed

Oakland Avenue street-tree planting

Oakland Ave corridor · Street-tree / streetscape greening

The Impact

Shade, cooler sidewalks, and a greener walk to campus — one block, fully funded by neighbors. Fourteen semi-mature trees, each staked with a guard and watered through their first year, replace a stretch that's been all sidewalk and no shade. Students cutting between classes and neighbors walking to the bus stop both get a cooler, greener block within a season or two.

Scope

Plant ~14 installed street trees with pits, guards, and first-year care along a bare Oakland stretch.
