Smallman St · Street-tree / streetscape greening

The Impact

Soften the Strip with street trees — cooler sidewalks, funded only in full. This stretch of Smallman Street is almost entirely hard surface today, so new trees are less an upgrade than a first introduction of green. Cooler pavement and a softer streetscape make the walk between Strip District vendors noticeably more comfortable in July and August.

Scope

Plant installed street trees with guards along a hard-surfaced Strip District block.
