Transparency & donor disclosure
Where the money goes, and how we verify a project actually gets finished.
Where your donation goes
Our policy for projects that don’t reach their goal is being finalized with legal counsel and will appear on every project page before we accept any gift.
Fees
With donor tips enabled at checkout, the platform fee is 0% and the org keeps effectively 100% of each gift (donors are prompted to cover card-processing costs, and any shortfall is absorbed by the platform's guarantee). If a donor declines to add a tip, a flat 3% platform fee plus standard card-processing fees (about 2.9% + $0.30) applies instead.
Project verification
Completed projects are posted with before/after documentation on the Impact page. A formal completion-proof and sign-off process (photo documentation plus confirmation from the executing City department) is being finalized as the organization stands up its first pilot projects.
Donor disclosure policy
Let's Fund Pittsburgh's donor disclosure policy — what's published publicly versus kept private, and how large gifts are handled — is being finalized alongside the organization's founding board and 501(c)(3) formation. This page will be updated as those policies are adopted.
Let’s Fund Pittsburgh is in formation and is not yet accepting donations. Tax-deductibility will be stated at the point of donation once confirmed.
